During the winter months when we have the heat turned on – I get very stuffed up, especially at night.
We have had our vents and ducts cleaned. I have an air purifier on my side of the bed. A humidifier only makes me more stuffed up, just less thick I guess (tmi, hah).
I have a feeling it is dander from our pets coming through the vents, as I am allergic to all 4 of them. Either that or dust. Typically my allergies dont bother me much unless the animals are all over me for long periods of time.
Is there anything I can use, sprays or anything to keep me from getting congested? I don’t take allergy pills usually, and prefer not to, but I would if it would help.
My partner is tired of hearing me snore and I am tired of feeling like I’ve got a massive head cold every morning and having phlegm and mucous all the time in the winter.

my dad snores extremely loud and its very, very annoying. Besides earplugs and surgery, how can he get rid of snoring?

My roommate complained that I started snoring for the past few weeks and showed me a video clip of me sleeping. In the clip I was inhaling very deeply, making a quite audible sound. But, I wasn’t making the typical fluttering sound people produce when they snore and my mouth was closed. So technically I wasn’t snoring, right? Can anyone tell me the possible causes and solutions to it? Can it be a more serious medical condition?

I smother him with a pillow. . . no jk.
If I rub his back or arm or something he stops snoring. But soon after I stop he will continue snoring again. Why is this? Is it just because the feeling is relaxing and his breathing relaxes too? And is there something else I can do other than this? Obviously I can’t continue rubbing his back continually because I need my sleep too.
So a bit more detail about his snoring:
Even if he is still technically awake he will start to snore.
He grinds his teeth sometimes really loudly (they make a squeeking noise, like metal on metal)
No matter what position he sleeps in he snores, on his back, stomach or either side.
He smokes, how much worse does this make his snoring? (I wish he would quit)
Any info would be helpful, thanks.
