   Mr. Class,
   It’s possible that she may have “obstructive sleep apnea”. My doctor told me that 100% of all people who have apnea are snorers BUT, not all snorers have apnea.
   Snoring occurs when the tissues around your throat become relaxed as you fall asleep, when they relax they can obstruct your airway and air pushing past the blockage causes snoring.
   In cases where the air cannot get past the tissues, the person stops breathing and then is aroused from their sleep (the brain tells them to wake up because they can’t breath) It’s a common and hugely underdiagnosed condition.
   If she’s feeling tired all of the time, it may be because she has sleep apnea. Her doctor can help her get squared away by referring to a sleep specialist who will perform a sleep study. This will give a very clear picture of her situation and options for treatment.

   I had a terrible snoring problem, I had enlarged tonsils,deviated septum and allergy related breathing problems and I got them fixed and i haven’t snored since, maybe she has distress breathing

   If you close her mouth while she’s sleeping she will only be able to breath through her nose.

   puresleep.com. My wife is the snore queen, and it stops hers completely. A small uncomfortable at first, but better than all that noise. We both sleep better now.
   Evaluation for sleep apnea also vital.
