I have read a small about “treatments”, but curious to any opinions on here. I’ve read to quit smoking- done. Loose weight- but I’m not heavy. I have pretty terrible allergies which more than likely causes the snoring. My mate just started wearing earplugs. While we can joke about it and are dealing with each other’s snoring, we’d like to see what action could be taken. Any help is appreciated.
Thanks!

You can go to an ENT (Ear,Nose,Throat) specialist and have your airways, throat and nose ways looked at. My daughter snored terribly and breathed through her mouth while asleep. She had her adnoids and tonsils removed and has not snored since. It could be from air obstuction in those areas. Other than that I find people snore heavily when they go to bed overly exhausted or after drinking?
It is possible that your snoring is worse while sleeping on your back. If this is right, you can help yourself to stay on your side by sewing a tennis ball into the back of a t-shirt. Then when you roll onto your back, you will be prompted to turn back onto your side. Just sew a pocket on your t-shirt and stick the tennis ball in it.
There are some stop snoring devices available in the shops, one of my friend gave them a try and he said that it really helped him. You should visit a doctor and he will recommend you what to do about your snoring.
