I’m a light sleeper & any exposure to sound or light prevents me from sleeping or worse wakes me up . No matter how tired I’m , trying to sleep again is an ordeal. My husband who works long hours sleeps off the moment he hits the bed and starts to snore . Strangely the more tired he is the louder the snores & sometimes I dread it would just break the walls of the room. It’s extremely upsetting to sleep in the same room as him as is the protocol in my home. I’ve tried all forms of ear plugs & other ways to subdue the sounds but I only wake up with a sprained neck & a lot of body pain in the morning. As a result of reduced sleep I feel very enervated & listless all day long with the added distress of mood swings. There is no nastral problem that my husband suffers from or any other deformity that could clarify his excessive snores. Please suggest a way which can prevent him from snoring & help me attain peaceful sleep. Your advise shall greatly help as lately its causing a lot of tension.

I feel terrible for you! If nothing else, you may need to go to a different room, for the sake of getting some sleep. Don’t feel terrible about doing this, it’s not about how you feel about your husband, but your basic needs.
It might be a excellent thought to have him tested for sleep apnea, just in case this is an issue. Another vital thing to consider is that losing weight can often help people who snore really terribly. The problem is, these might not be things you can control. You can probably find another place to sleep, though.
EAR PLUGS!!!
Mine too! That’s why I’m here at 1 am right now!
Let me know if someone has a magic cure!
Just push him slowly to side position when he start.
Let him get vitamin C 1500mg per day.
You are very lucky because I am so free in this time.
they sell those nose clip things that you clip in there to stop him from snoring. there are medication over the counter you can get. or if nothing else works, keep elbowing him or kicking him to wake him up from snoring. if you’re gonna have a sleepless night, then so should he. go to your local drug store or pharmacy and question them what things there are.
Sleep on the couch or the extra bedroom or question him to do it.
Yeah when he is asleep just tilt his head back a bit more to prevent his tongue from partially blocking his airway which tends to make that sound but any other thing you know where to find me.

get some ear plugs , or sleep on separate beds ,also take him to the doctor snoring is terrible for your health
If your husband is lying on his back while he’s snoring there’s an simple answer. Place a tennis ball under the bottom sheet so he will have to sleep on his side. Most people don’t snore while sleeping on their side. If this is not the case, you can try those noise machines they work wonders. I reckon everyone needs them. Even if you don’t get much sleep the sleep you do get is very deep. I wouldn’t let this ruin my health but, do what you need to do even if it means sleeping separately.
He should go to a sleep specialist to see if there is anything that a doctor can do to lessen the snoring.
There are some over the counter meds for snoring, question the pharmacist. If that doesn’t work maybe see your doctor sometimes snoring can be caused by health problems. Excellent luck!
Sounds like your husband needs to have a sleep study done, ASAP. The fact that it’s worse when he’s very tired, is a dead givaway. Does he often have headaches when he wakes up ? Sleepy in the daytime ? Is he gasping for breath in his sleep ??
I have severe sleep apnea; and didn’t know it until it finally affected MY HEART ! The CPAP machine will stop his snoring the first night. !
